"Arsenic and Old Lace" was produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play
Service, Incorporated.
Film: Frank Capra made "Arsenic and Old Lace" into a major motion picture in 1941, although he couldn't release it until the Broadway production finally closed in 1944. It starred Cary Grant as "Mortimer Brewster," Priscilla Lane as his fiancee, "Elaine Harper," Raymond Massey as "Jonathon Brewster," Edward Everett Horton as
"Mr. Witherspoon," Peter Lorre as "Dr. Einstein," Josephine Hull as "Abbey Brewster," and Jean Adair as "Martha Brewster."
