Fond du Lac Community Theatre presented the musical, The Fantasticks with four performances on one weekend - three evening shows plus one matinee, on Thursday through Sunday, October 11, 12, 13 and 14, 2007.
Origin - "The Fantasticks" featured the signature tune, "Try to Remember." It premiered off-Broadway and became the longest running show in American history, running for 17,162 performances. History: Fond du Lac Community Theatre has presented the show twice before. The first time it was our first musical in 1967. The second time we staged "The Fantasticks" was in 1980. In that production, Bud Caldwell, who played "Henry" in this year's staging, played the part of "El Gallo," the Narrator. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
