Fond du Lac Community Theatre
presented our Spring production, the dramatic play
"Of Mice and Men" on April 25,
26 & 27 and May 3 & 4, 2002 at 8:00 P.M. at The University of Wisconsin
- Fond du Lac Prairie Theater. "Of Mice and
Men," was based on the classic dramatic novel written by author John Steinbeck. It was directed by Todd Louis Whittaker. Well known for his many
memorable acting roles, Todd made his directorial debut.

History: This
was the first time that Fond du Lac Community Theatre has produced "Of Mice and Men." However, it has been made into a major motion picture three times so far. The first version was in 1939 and starred Burgess Meredith as "George" and Lon Chaney, Junior as "Lennie." The second time was in 1981 and starred Robert
Blake as "George," Randy Quaid as "Lennie" and Lew Ayres. The third time was in 1992 and starred Gary Sinise as "George,"
John Malkovich as "Lennie" and Ray Walston as "Candy."
