"Wizard Reborn"
"Wizard Reborn" (formerly called, "Convictions") was created, written and produced by Fond du Lac native, Scott Huelsman. Its creation marked the beginning of a new art form, the Media Novel.
Although "Wizard Reborn" was not a Fond du Lac Community Theatre
production, many of our members participated in the creation of this new art
form. "Wizard Reborn" is a Science Fiction-Fantasy
genre, multi-media computer novel, produced with cutting-edge, digital technology.
A media novel is
basically a novel that is produced on a CD ROM, rather than published (printed in book form.) It also available over the Internet, serialized into chapters, at its own web site: www.webdadi.com/WizardReborn/Default.asp.
The text of the novel appears on the computer screen, but it is interactive. It is supplemented with artwork, sound effects, music, audio clips and even video clips in which the characters come to life and talk to the reader. The video was taped at a studio in Fond du Lac.
