COVID-19 response from FDLCT

It should come as no surprise, Fond du Lac Community Theatre is, too, impacted by the COVID-19 (coronavirus). Given the declaration of a state of emergency in Fond du Lac, the Governor’s order banning gatherings , and our desire to protect the safety of our members and guests, we have made the painful decision to postpone the remainder of the 2019-2020 season.

This decision is not easy. There is an enormous amount of work that has already gone into Mamma Mia! and preparations were under way for Grease and Frozen, Jr. However, we are a people-first organization and want to do our part to ensure our community members are safe and not forced to make a decision between attending one of our events and their health.

We will miss seeing all of you this summer, as we take pride in being a gathering place in our community. However, we are excited for the 2020-2021 season – Mamma Mia! (September, 2020), 12 Angry Jurors (November, 2020), Matilda (April, 2021), TBD (June, 2021) and Frozen, Jr. (July, 2021). We’re still working with the organizations to secure or postpone rights for these shows; therefore, there may be additional changes (some things are out of our control).

We’re sure you have questions. We may have answers. Below you will find a few that we’ve already encountered:

1. I have season tickets for Mamma Mia! and Grease. Will I get a refund?

At this time, we ask you hold tight. If we are allowed to move the rights for these shows to the next season, your ticket will be honored. If you are unable to make the new dates, we will gladly refund you. You are also able to donate the cost of that ticket to the organization (and be provided a donation letter).

2. What about the auditions you posted for Grease and Frozen, Jr.?

Those will be rescheduled to accommodate the new dates of the shows. This information will be shared via Facebook, our website and our newsletter.

3. Who do I contact if I have additional questions?

We encourage you message us through Facebook Messenger, email us at fdlctboard@gmail.com or call us at 920.923.2206 . We will do our best to get back to you in a timely fashion.

We appreciate your kindness, patience, and understanding as we navigate this situation. Our decisions are made with prudence and caution. The show will go on…just a little later than anticipated.

Sincerely,
Tracy Qualmann
