Historical Bio & Photo

Paul Thelen

Crew — Music Director; Pit Musician

Paul has been a cornerstone of FDLCT productions for more than 30 years, serving as both keyboardist and music director for dozens of shows. His musical life extends well beyond the theater: Paul performs with the Lighthouse Big Band, the Swizzle Sticks dance band, and with his three daughters as The Thelen Sisters Band. He is deeply involved in the community as a church musician and as an accompanist for high school and middle school choirs throughout the region. When the music finally pauses, Paul and his wife Julie grab their passports and head out to explore the world — especially Europe, Africa, and South America.
