FDLCT presents “Legally Blonde” June 26-29, 2025

Legally Blonde

WANTED:  A cast of 30 to 40 energetic singers and dancers to tell the story of Elle Woods on her journey to becoming Legally Blonde.

Auditions for Legally Blonde will be held the following days at the STEM Academy gym at 401 S Military Rd, Fond du Lac, WI 54935

  • Thursday, March 6 from 6:30-9
  • Friday, March 7 from 6:30-9
  • Saturday, March 8 from 10-2.

Audition Preparation:

  • Please prepare a 1-2 minute monologue that fits the age you are auditioning for. If you don’t have a monologue, some will be available at the audition site.
  • Prepare 1-2 minutes of a song of your choice. The song doesn’t have to be from the show.
  • Also, please come dressed comfortably so you can learn a few dance steps.

Schedule

Rehearsals will begin with two meetings in March:

  • Thurs. March 20 from 6:30 – 9 for paperwork and a sing/read through
  • Thurs. March 27 from 6:30 – 9 Sing through

In April, rehearsals will be 3-4 days per week, beginning Tuesday April 1. The usual rehearsal time will be 6:30 – 9 PM at FDL Community Theater Building on 9th St. We will continue to have 3-4 rehearsals per week throughout May. Easter Weekend and Memorial Day Weekends are scheduled off.

Production dates are Thursday, June 26-Saturday, June 28 at 7 PM and Sunday, June 29 at 2 PM.  The production will be at the FDL High School PAC.

Characters

  • Elle: a perky, blonde, sorority girl. Truly a girly girl.  Between the ages of 20 and early 30’s. 
  • Margot:  One of the Delta Nu’s. Is part of the Greek Chorus.  One of Elle’s best supporters. Between 20 and early 30’s.
  • Serena:  One of the Delta Nu’s. Is part of the Greek Chorus.  One of Elle’s best supporters. Between 20 and early 30’s.
  • Pilar: One of the Delta Nu’s. Is part of the Greek Chorus.  One of Elle’s best supporters. Between 20 and early 30’s.
  • Kate:  Delta Nu Sorority Sister to Elle.  Is the Scholastic Chair of the UCLA Delta Nus. Not quite as polished as the other Delta Nu’s. Part of the Greek Chorus. Between 20 and early 30’s.
  • Emmett:  Recent Law School Graduate, Acts as a Teaching Assistant to Callahan and mentor to Elle.   Between the ages of 25 and 35.
  • Paulette:  Owns and operates her own hair salon. Becomes Elle’s friend and confidante.  Between the ages of 25 and 40.
  • Callahan:  Harvard Law School Professor.  Arrogant. Very sure of himself. Between the ages of 35 and 60.
  • Warner:  Elle’s boyfriend, and the man she aspires to marry.  Is a very preppy, East Coast Elitist.  His parents’ opinions often drive his actions. Between the ages of 25 and 35.
  • Vivienne:  Warner’s East Coast girlfriend.  She is very East Coast Elitist, and everything Warner believes he needs to please his parents and eventually the voters.  Despises Elle. Can be catty and mean. Between the ages of 25 and 35.
  • Brooke:  A former Delta Nu who has been imprisoned for murdering her husband. Has made a career of fitness videos. Leads two work out dances. Very fit and proud of it. Between the ages of 30 and 40.
  • Enid: Law student at Harvard. Is the opposite of Vivienne. Not preppy, very into political and social causes. Despises Elle.  Between the ages of 25 and 35
  • Kyle:  The UPS delivery man who catches Paulette’s eye. Truly a nice guy. Between the ages of 25 and 40.

Ensemble

There are additional small parts which will be taken from the Delta Nus, UCLA Fraternity  students,  Harvard Students and the Greek Chorus, the salon folks and the courtroom spectators. They include:

**The Fraternity Students, Harvard Students, Additional Delta Nu’s and Greek Chorus need to be 16 or older.
